Automated Testing System (ATS)
Representing the traditional assessment tools, the paper based components in our assessment arsenal can serve as your primary or secondary means of gathering information and measuring knowledge.

Your bank of test questions and exam plans are stored in a private and encrypted database. This database keeps up with your training syllabi and course objectives, which the system uses as a guide for constructing the exams you schedule.

Software Interface
You can use the ATS to create exams from any LAN connected workstation, pulling materials from a central exam database.  With a Windows-based user interface (written in C++) and an application that 'self updates,' your users always have the best version without requiring Help Desk intervention.

The system provides a full-featured question editor, with spell checker, that functions much like a word processor.  This means that you can edit and view the question root and distractors on one screen.  Images and text can also be pasted or 'drag and dropped' into the editor.

Exam Creation
Exams are created in just a few steps, even while the database may contain many thousands of test questions.  Using information from your training syllabi and predetermined 'sets' of questions that are established for each block of instruction, the ATS presents only the exam materials you need when you need them.

Exam Materials
Printed material generated by the system can be sent to any printer you specify.  Each of your printed exams will contain:

  • Exam Plan
  • Study Guide
  • Cover Sheet
  • Student Exam (one or two versions)
  • Answer Key
  • Instructors Copy of Exam, with Discussion materials

Grading Exams
Scoring is a simple matter of identifying the exam that is being scored and then feeding the answer sheets through an OMR scanner. The system will report on student performance, will store that data for use on transcripts, and will track the performance of every question on the exam.

Each time you grade an exam the system creates these reports:

  • Item Analysis
  • Grade Report (Student)
  • Grade Report (Administrative)

As needed, staff members can print these reports:

  • Class Roster
  • Transcript by SSN
  • Transcript by Class

Miscellaneous Reports:

  • Training Syllabus
  • Item Set Reports
  • Item Usage
  • Item History

Benefits
Exams and keys are dynamically generated by the system, making it very easy to produce unique tests, as they are needed.
